In this sessions participants will get a preview of the OpenSciEd instruction model. In this model curricular units are oriented around anchoring phenomena and organized into a storyline. Student questions motivate investigations and students incrementally build toward explaining phenomenon and solving problems using the three dimensions of the NGSS. Supports are built into the units to help teachers facilitate discourse and monitor student learning.
